These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and 1BY ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Platform in any capacity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
1.1 Use of the Platform is strictly limited to individuals who are at least sixteen (16) years of age. By registering an account, the User represents and warrants that they meet this minimum age requirement.
1.2 Users who are found to be under the minimum age, whether through self-disclosure, user reports, or administrative review, may have their account terminated without prior notice. The Platform relies on users' honest declaration of age at registration and cannot independently verify this information.
1.3 Users must provide accurate information during registration. The use of false identity, false age, or misleading credentials constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
2.1 1BY is an anonymous experience-sharing and peer connection platform. Its purpose is to facilitate the voluntary exchange of personal experiences, stories, and perspectives between users.
2.2 All content published on the Platform represents the personal opinions and experiences of individual users, not the views or recommendations of the Platform itself.
2.3 1BY is designed with a single purpose: to increase the likelihood that people learn from others' real experiences before making their own decisions — reducing repeated mistakes and improving outcomes. However, no experience is universal. What worked for one person in one situation may not work for another. Users are encouraged to treat content here as one valuable input among many, not as a guaranteed solution.
2.4 The Platform is committed to maintaining content quality. When users report that content was harmful, misleading, or led to negative outcomes, we take this seriously — such reports may result in content review, removal, or action against the responsible account. This is how we continuously improve the value and reliability of what is shared here.
3.1 By using the Platform, the User agrees to conduct themselves in a lawful, respectful, and responsible manner at all times.
3.2 The following activities are strictly prohibited and constitute grounds for immediate account termination:
3.3 Enforcement of these prohibitions relies primarily on the Platform's user reporting system and administrative review. The Platform does not proactively monitor all user content in real time. Users are encouraged to report any content or behavior that violates these Terms. The Platform reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether reported conduct constitutes a violation.
4.1 Anonymity is a foundational principle of the Platform. Users shall not attempt to identify, reveal, or expose the real-world identity of any other user through any means.
4.2 Users are solely responsible for the information they choose to include in their public content. The Platform assumes no liability for self-disclosure by users.
4.3 Any deliberate attempt to unmask, identify, or expose another user constitutes a severe violation of these Terms and will result in immediate permanent account termination.
5.1 Users retain intellectual property rights over content they create and publish on the Platform.
5.2 By publishing content on the Platform, the User grants 1BY a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute said content within the Platform for the purpose of fulfilling the Platform's stated mission.
5.3 Upon account deletion, user-generated content shall remain on the Platform attributed to "deleted user." This is an intentional design decision to preserve the value of shared experiences for the broader community. Users who wish to remove specific content must do so prior to account deletion.
5.4 The Platform reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice or compensation.
6.1 The Platform provides an optional feature allowing users to share their geographic location with another user for the purpose of arranging an in-person meeting. This feature requires the explicit, mutual, and voluntary consent of both parties before any location information is disclosed.
6.2 The Platform bears no responsibility whatsoever for any events, outcomes, harm, injury, loss, or damages arising from or related to in-person meetings between users arranged through the Platform.
6.3 Users who choose to meet in person do so entirely at their own risk. The Platform strongly advises users to:
6.4 The Platform's connection features are intended as a starting point for human connection, not as a guarantee of safety, compatibility, or positive outcomes.
7.1 Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. The Platform shall not be held liable for any unauthorized access resulting from the User's failure to secure their credentials.
7.2 In the event of suspected unauthorized access, the User must notify the Platform immediately via the contact form. The Platform will make reasonable efforts to secure the affected account pending verification of the legitimate account holder's identity.
7.3 The Platform reserves the right to freeze, suspend, or restrict access to any account that shows signs of unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or potential security compromise, without prior notice, for the purpose of protecting the legitimate account holder.
8.1 The Platform reserves the right to remove any content, issue warnings, temporarily suspend, or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, at its sole and absolute discretion.
8.2 The Platform is under no obligation to provide reasons for enforcement actions, though reasonable efforts will be made to notify affected users where appropriate.
8.3 Users may terminate their account at any time through the account settings. Termination does not affect the continued display of previously published content as described in Article 5.
8.4 The Platform reserves the right to permanently ban devices associated with accounts that have been terminated for serious violations, including but not limited to harassment, illegal activity, or repeated abuse.
9.1 The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9.2 The Platform does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. The Platform does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content published by users.
10.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, personal injury, or emotional distress, arising from or related to the use of the Platform.
10.2 The Platform's total aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to the Platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or zero (0) if no payment was made.
11.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
11.3 By using the Platform, the User irrevocably submits to this jurisdiction.
12.1 The Platform reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users through the Platform's notification system.
12.2 Continued use of the Platform following the posting of amended Terms constitutes the User's acceptance of those amendments.
12.3 It is the User's responsibility to review these Terms periodically. The effective date at the top of this document indicates when the Terms were last updated.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Platform with respect to the use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings of any kind.
